Admin Menus
On this page7
There is no admin-menu adapter, because there does not need to be one. Any admin menu can open our panel with a single server-side call.
exports['5code-recognition']:OpenAdminPanel(source, targetA, targetB)| Argument | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
source | yes | The admin's server id. |
targetA | no | A player's server id. |
targetB | no | A second player's server id, to open the pair view between A and B. |
Called with no targets (or only one), the panel opens on its overview. Called with two, it opens straight on the Pair page for A and B — which is the view staff actually want when they are handling a report.
Where it is known to fit
| Menu | Support | How |
|---|---|---|
| EasyAdmin | Snippet | A button in its player menu calling OpenAdminPanel. |
| vMenu | Snippet | Same. |
| qb-adminmenu | Snippet | Same. |
| ps-adminmenu | Snippet | Same. |
| your own | Snippet | Same. |
All of them are the same one-line call, from server code.
Direct commands
If you would rather not touch your admin menu at all, every panel view has a command:
| Command | Level | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/recognition:admin [idA] [idB] | view | Opens the panel; with two ids, straight on the pair view. |
recognition:check <idA> <idB> | console / view | Both directions, printed to the console. No UI. |
recognition:status | console / view | Running scans, detected scripts, voice trust. |
recognition:verifyproofs [fromId] | console / view | Checks that the tamper-evident proof log and admin log were not changed. |
recognition:selftest | console / view | The installation self-test. |
recognition:export <idA> <idB> [note] | console / export | One-click Discord export of a pair. |
/recognition:tags [id] | classifier | What the game says about someone's clothes. |
/recognition:debug | settings | Debug overlay on or off. |
Rename any of them, or set it to false to turn it off, in Config.Commands. The
full list is on Commands.
Permissions
The menu integration inherits the normal levels. Give staff roles the child ACE they need:
add_ace group.mod recognition.admin.view allow
add_ace group.mod recognition.admin.export allow
add_ace group.admin recognition.admin allow| Level | ACE | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
view | recognition.admin.view | The panel: overview, pair view, lookup, timeline, deaths list. |
edit | recognition.admin.edit | Editing and deleting memories, keeping or wiping memories after a death, handing out standalone items. |
export | recognition.admin.export | Discord exports. |
classifier | recognition.admin.classifier | The Clothing page (Auto-scan and review), /recognition:tags. |
identity | recognition.admin.identity | Identity resets, free implants, cooldowns. |
settings | recognition.admin.settings | The in-game settings editor, prune, debug. |
Full detail: Admin & Permissions.
txAdmin
Config.Admin.TxAdmin = true
Config.Admin.TxAdminPerms = { 'view' }A txAdmin login counts as an admin, at the levels listed in TxAdminPerms — read-only
by default.
txAdmin heals are also always read as an admin revive for the New Life Rule, on every ambulance script.
Framework groups
Config.Admin.FrameworkGroups = { 'admin', 'god', 'superadmin' }
Config.Admin.GroupPerms = {} -- e.g. { mod = { 'view' }, admin = 'all' }Handy when your staff roles already live in the framework and you would rather not
maintain a second ACE list. GroupPerms maps a group to specific levels; without it,
a listed group gets the parent permission.
What the panel gives your staff
The panel has a tablet look with an icon sidebar. Each page:
| Page | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Overview | What is happening right now, the last 24 hours, and whether the proof log is intact. |
| Pair | What A knows about B and what B knows about A — two % rings, cue bars and short chips, details behind the (i). A LIVE badge while something is happening, a trend chart, and the Discord export button. |
| Lookup | Find anyone by name, server id, char key, device serial or report id. Suggestions show while you type; a "Search by" hint explains each kind. |
| Timeline | Pick a player first, then a day-by-day list with one short line per event. Click a line for details. Filters: 24h / 7d / 30d, and Scans, Proofs, Papers, Deaths, Admin. |
| Deaths | The New Life Rule review. The page explains itself; each death has Keep memories / Wipe memories buttons. |
| Clothing | The clothing classifier and Auto-scan, with summary tiles and filter chips. Needs classifier. |
| Audit | The admin log: who changed what, and why. |
| Settings | The in-game config editor: plain titles, an (i) tip per setting, friendly group names and "reset to file". Needs settings. |

Config.Admin.RequireReason | true | Every write needs a written reason. |
