Tickets & Sits
On this page3
The commands and the key a player uses for their ticket, and the place where staff hold a sit. All
keys are in config.lua.
Player tickets
| Key | Default | Allowed | What it changes in game |
|---|---|---|---|
Config.ReportCommand | 'report' | A command name without / | The command a player uses to ask staff for help: /report <message>. |
Config.TicketCommand | 'ticket' | A command name without / | The command that brings a player's ticket chat back: /ticket. |
Config.TicketKey | 'F10' | A FiveM key name · '' = no default key | The default key that does the same as the command. |
How the three fit in:
- A player writes
/reportand a message. A ticket opens. - The player gets a small chat window. Minimized, it leaves a tab on the right edge of the screen: My Ticket [F10].
- The key or
/ticketbrings the chat back.
| Case | What the player sees |
|---|---|
/ticket with no open ticket | "You have no open ticket. Use /report <message> to ask staff for help." |
| The player has set another key | The tab shows that key. |
| The player has no key at all | The tab shows the command: My Ticket [/ticket]. |
The key is only a default. Each player can change it in the game: Settings → Key Bindings →
FiveM, entry Open my support ticket. With Config.TicketKey = '' there is no default key. The
command still works, and a player can still set a key of their own.
Rename the report command
Config.ReportCommand = 'support' -- players now type /support <message>| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Allowed characters | The name is put in lower case. Only the letters a to z, digits and _ are kept: '/Support' becomes support. |
| Empty, or the line is missing | The command is /report. An older config.lua keeps working. |
| The texts follow | Every text that names the command shows your name: the usage line, the "no open ticket" line and the last line of a closed ticket chat. |
| The help text in the chat | It is shown for your command name. |
| After a change | Restart the resource. |
With Config.ReportCommand = 'support' a player reads Usage: /support <message> and "You have no
open ticket. Use /support <message> to ask staff for help."
